The Blahful Days of Winter Have Begun

IT'S CALLED BEING TOO LAZY AND TOO COLD TO SET UP A TRIPOD

Dress: thrifted, Corset: DOTS, Scarf: thrifted, Beret: H&M, Black top: H&M, Black skirt: thrifted, Shoes: Chuck Taylor

As I was leaving French class 5th period today, my teacher cried "J'aime tes chaussures rouges!!"
It means, "I like your red shoes!!"
I've had her since the beginning of freshman year. I've worn red Chucks all that time.
But it was still pretty cool :)

To compliment my habit of rapid topic changing, Maddie, Mary, and I took Hiro, the Japanese exchange student, thrifting at Goodwill today after school. (We made a pit stop at Dairy Queen beforehand so that he could get the full experience of American consumer culture, and also to play along with his observation of "A lot of people in this country are fat....")

We got a very decent amount of browsing in, and I'm happy to say that I have a new friend. Also, perhaps just as exciting (KIDDING!), I got a couple new tops:

If only it was summer and I could wear that hippie tank dress everyday......well, there's always pretending. Despite the fact that we're supposed to get snow sometime this week.....*tears*

Oh yes, one more thing, as promised here is my Rosie the Reaper costume:
(and featuring Maddie as a zombie colorguardian)

Which was my REAL costume!! That Amy Winehouse gettup was just a last minute pre-Halloween cast party outfit.
Anywho, apparently my neighbor took her son trick-or-treating at my house (I was already at my friend's, mind you) and according to my mother SHE WAS DRESSED AS ROSIE THE RIVETER TOO! Gah I wish I could have witnessed this amazing coincidence. Then perhaps I would have a picture of the twin Rosies as proof for y'all.
But I guess you'll have to take my word for it, as always.
PEACE.

IT'S LIKE ONE OF THOSE HAUL VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE FILMED SPECIFICALLY TO MAKE OTHER GIRLS JEALOUS

Pretty successful graphic tee shopping for fall, wouldn't you say?

Coca-cola and Marilyn shirts from Target, Legalize Gay shirt from American Apparel, Bon Jovi and Coexist shirts are thrifted from Value Village, owl shirt from Kohl's, and that cool-as-fuck Kitty Fett tee is from Etsy

And while I'm bragging about my awesome shirts, I may as well go ahead and show you some of my favorite shoes (just for the hell of it)

Red heels and Betsey Johnson jelly sandals thrifted from Value Village, gladiator sandals I got discounted at Icing, and TOMS knockoffs are from Heartbreaker

I'm ready to take on the second week of school.

And I also have a $20 chinese dress from Ragstock to wear while I drag my boyfriend by the ear to the homecoming dance next Saturday.

'Cause I'm just that spirited.
Out.

Kawaii websurfings to brighten the winter darkness

Well since I'm sure you're all dying to know, I'll just come right out and say that NO we did not win. In fact we did not even place...>.> But failure is a part of life, and we far from failed :) Ours probably got the most laughter and I personally felt that it was the best. Not to mention I got to spend plenty of quality time with my favorite people and spy on cute guys from other cities. GodDAMN I have the greatest life ever! Well anyway, it all ended well :)

Moving on, I happened upon this adorable little webstore during one of my web ramblings and must say that I would certainly like a gift card to this place. Here's some of the stuff they sell:

The site is called fredflare.com, and is pretty much the epitome of kawaii uniqueness :) They have some pretty good deals too. Haven't bought anything yet but it's tempting!
Oh yeah, this is random but I also read today that Lady Gaga is making a perfume that smells like blood and semen. She's a goddess to me, but, alas, even I have trouble understanding that woman sometimes.......

That is all I've got for now.
