My fingers are so cold I can hardly type

Giant bow: gift, Sunglasses: thrifted, Jacket: Old Navy, Belt: H&M, Jeggings: H&M, Socks: Delia's, Betsey Johnson jelly sandals: thrifted

I'm wild.

I'm sassy.

And now I'm going to eat ramen and mourn the fact that Glee and New Girl aren't on tonight.

I have a disability, it's called textbooks

Pepper shirt: borrowed from Maddie, Beret: H&M, Tank top: Target, Jeans: H&M, Combat boots: thrifted

I love peppers. Maddie's grandma gave her the pepper shirt and we've decided to form a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pepper Shirt within our little group of friends. It's thoroughly wonderful. And it smells nice. Today Laura told me I was hot in the literal sense, cause I have peppers on my shirt. Ah ha! :D Okay no more lameness. Well, by my standards at least......

Anywho, I don't do that many inspiration posts, but the Balenciaga spring collection is SLIGHTLY drool worthy....

I would ingest llama sperm to get my hands on the skirt in the second picture and the shirt in the third. (I can't envision a situation in which a designer would give me clothes in exchange for my ingestion of llama sperm, but we'll pretend that this one is a rich fashion junkie with a grotesque sense of humor)

I know I often have posts containing at least three completely random topics, but I watched Glee tonight and simply had to post this video:

My favorite tv show and a feminist scene?
Must be my lucky day.

When I grow up, I wanna be Jess from New Girl

If you haven't been following the new comedy New Girl yet, I would highly recommend doing so. The main character is a quirky and supremely awkward girl named Jess (with her own self-written theme song) and an adorable sense of style. She completely reminds me of myself (probably because of the fact that Dirty Dancing is her favorite romance) and shows me that I can still be cool and weird when I get older and get a job. I know you're all gonna go out and watch the first two episodes now, so I will say no more.

On an entirely unrelated note, I saw someone wearing these at the Rennaisance Festival the other day and I kinda freaked out:

I truly don't understand the appeal of Uggs. They're kinda warm and comfy, and they look pretty good with leg warmers. But with swearpants or jeans tucked in? Um....no.

These ones, however, are shiny and covered in sequins. Meaning that if I were to find a cheap knockoff pair they would probably become a new edition to my wardrobe.

They're just SO SHINY.

And I'm done.

Glee Started Last Night

I'm sure you know already, but if you don't, the title says it all. Yes!! My favorite show is back!! I'm ready to be inspired to no avail. If you haven't submitted to Gleeklihood yet, I'd advise you to start now....or forever hold your peace. Speaking of TV shows though, all of my other favorites are back on as well: Castle, Raising Hope, and the Middle and Modern Family start tonight!! Also, I discovered a new show that was on after Glee and I couldn't help but subscribing to it through Tivo. It's called New Girl and I absolutely, positively relate to it in every single aspect. Check it out, if you dare.

Oh, happy news! I found my mother's tripod this morning, meaning that starting tomorrow I will do my best to take some high-quality outfit photos (that is, if I can manage it before 7 AM band class starts). I was unable to start with it this morning, unfortunately, on account of my finding it just before walking out the door. I've yet to formulate a plan, I suppose you'll just have to wait and see. But now, without further ado, outfit:

Plaid button-up: Kohl's (boys section), Yellow tank top: Target, Robot necklace: Etsy, Jeans: H&M, Shoes: Converse

I suppose I'm still in that phase of what they would call a "budding" fashion blogger, meaning my first year or so of figuring things out (*cough* sucking *cough*) and having next to no readers. That's my excuse to try out new styles I guess (of blogging, I meant, but clothes too) so I'm gunna keep playing around with some of the things I do, and hopefully find some stuff I like! But that's the general rule of life, isn't it? The more you learn, the more you grow.

Out.

I wish my high school had a Glee Club

I didn't intend to become one originally, but like so many Americans I too have fallen under its spell. That's right, I'm a Gleek.

Of course its partly the high school show tunes that get me (I own the first two soundtrack albums), but also the humor! With characters like Sue and Brittney its nonstop clever lines that have me laughing until tears are streaming down my cheeks. The story also deals with the ordinary dramas of high school and teenage-dom (which I obviously can relate to) in a funny, exaggerated way. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend getting caught up online and then entering the cult of gleekage. You'll find it rather enjoyable, and maybe even be inspired to belt out your favorite old-school song onstage or (if you're a lucky one) join your school's glee club. I could go on about the story, but one thing I'd really like to showcase is the FASHION! From the funky-preppy wardrobe of the lovable gay Kurt to the gothic vampire princess styles of the shy girl Tina, Glee is chock full of interesting clothes. See for yourself:

And of course we mustn't forget the Lady Gaga episode! This pop goddess is one of my favorite style icons. Here are some of her gleeked up outfits:

Stylish inspiration for any time of person runs wild on that show. Another reason for you fashionistas to get into it! ;)

Oh yea, I also made a banner for my blog seeing as the generic header I had going for me before was, well, generic. Not to mention boring. Here's the new one (if you can't for some reason see the top of the blog?):

This wasn't my first time creating a banner either, I used to make fan banners all the time for my Misty shrine: Misty's Ocean Here are a couple of my favorites:
